Money Lessons For Children
I am so excited to present my new money unit. I have been working on this with my class for about a month now and it is ready to share with others now. The coolest part about this unit, is that it was tested out by my class as we created and revised it together. It is my hope that this will help children to have a better understanding of how money works in the real world.
Here is the write-up for the first lesson.
In addition to the unit I made, I have also made 2 other money activities that work on counting money and figuring out money amounts. The first one is called
How Much Is This? I made it using both Canadian and American currencies. See below for some sample pages. The activities are the same, but the look is a bit different for each because of the type of currency used. The Canadian coins clipart was done by Michelle from The 3AM Teacher.
The second money activity is called
Show Me The Money! This also have been created in two versions so that they can be used for both Canadian and American money siutations. Some sample pages are below. Check out the great graphics from Michelle of the 3Am Teacher. She has some fun clipart for shopping themes.
Happy Spring everyone! Thanks for stopping by.
