Everyone loves a sale, especially at this time of the year. Well, you are in luck.
it is time for the big Teachers Pay Teachers Cyber Sale.
I am linking up with Jenn over at Teaching in the Tongass for a wishlist linky. Check out some of my most wishlisted items below and then head on over to see some of the other wishlists in the linky.
This is one of my favorite units to do because it involves planning the community and then creating a 3-D model in the classroom. It is the perfect mix of investigation, planning, and representing learning for young children. Parents always marvel at how much their child has learned through this experience.
I love teaching Social Studies in this manner. Most of my units involve different ways of representing learning so that all children have a chance to shine.
What child doesn't love learning about the solar system! My students were always so excited when I told them that we were going to learn about space and the planets. They loved having the opportunity to create different models, postcards, invitations, or essays to share their learning. This allowed everyone opportunities to share their learning in a way that worked best for them. They also enjoyed the chance to work with their families on the final projects.
Check out the scaled model of the solar system. This dad really got into the project with his son. He even wore his space shirt to the celebration.
Money is a tricky thing for some children to understand. Word problems can also be difficult for children. I created these task cards for my class to help them work on both skills. Using real life type situations made it easier for them to understand and with the help of manipulatives like play money, they were able to successfully grasp the concepts.
Everything in my store will be on sale for 20% off during the Cyber Sale. That means you can save 28% if you add the code SMILE at the checkout.
