For now, I want to share with you my newest product. It is available in my TpT store this weekend for $1.50. After Sunday, it will be $3.00. You can check it out below.
One activity I started doing about 8 years ago, is creating a calendar for parents as a gift from the students. It is a good time to do it, because it helps the children focus on Earth Day, but it also helps them create something that can be given as a reminder for years to come. This is the third time I have done this activity. In the past, we have given this calendar with a special card and goodie on Mothers Day. The posters that are created go on the back of each month so that each month a different student is featured. The calendar goes from May 2013-December 2014 and it has 2013 and 2014 year at a glance pages in it too.
This year I decided to make it an Earth theme. I found this great clipart by Bobbi Johnston at Kindergarten Corner and it seemed like a great fit. Click here to visit her store.
The title is We Take Care of Our World. It is a little hard to see because of the light reflecting on the letters. Each poster shares an idea of what can be done to protect our Earth.
These posters will be copied and added to the calendar. It is too bad that they will be in black and white.
The children are very excited about being illustrators for the calendar.
