I am so excited to be able to link up with other Canadian bloggers.
Ms. McKay from Teaching is a Gift has created a linky party that connects Canadian bloggers with other in the same province. I have met so many fabulous teachers through their blogs, but I felt like something was missing. I am a real homebody and I wanted to be linked to "Home". For me, that is the place where I live and teach. Terms like Common Core are still a bit foreign to me. I guess it would be the same for my American friends if I started talking about our curriculum strands. In British Columbia, teachers would be familiar with terms like IRPs and PLOs which stand for Integrated Resource Packages and Prescribed Learning Outcomes. There are many overlapping concepts, learning outcomes, goals and objectives, but the terminology is different. If I look past the terminology and check out the products, it is easy to see how they can be adapted to fit. I appreciate that so many teachers have graciously provided them for us to access. Now, I have the chance to connect with some of the Canadian teachers and help this market to grow and blossom in the way that the American market has.
Mrs. D over at Reading With Mrs. D is putting together a Booking Across Canada party and she is looking for representatives from all of the provinces and territories.
